Welford Engineering provided design and permitting services for Dr. Truong’s new medical office building and rehabilitation facility in the Lee Hill Commercial Center in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The client purchased a 1.12 acre lot in this existing office and retail center. Welford Engineering efforts on this project began early in the process as we provided conceptual planning and design services including the site boundary and topographic surveys, constraints analysis, and conceptual site design. Dr. Troung determined that she wanted to build a multi-tenant, 15,000 square foot, two-story building with very specific requirements and functionality. Our design team was able to address all of these requirements.
Once a final concept for the site was selected, Welford Engineering provided all of the engineering, permitting and approval services needed to take this project to construction. This phase of services included final site design along with the preparation of construction plans, and environmental protection. Our design also included the design of on-site Low Impact Development (LID) facilities to improve runoff water quality before it is conveyed to the regional storm water management facilities designed to support the entire site.
Once construction on the project began, Welford Engineering assisted the Client and General Contractor with construction survey stakeout, as built surveys, and an ALTA survey.
